On and off social media there is much confusion and conflict about what constitutes the gospel of Jesus Christ. Some say it is the cross (death, burial, and resurrection) ONLY. I find that view problematic given the enormous amount of scriptures God through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit had the apostles to write AFTER Jesus resurrection not only about the importance of the cross but also about the importance of obeying God’s commandments to include some form of judgement to take place in the end time no matter the form of that judgment.
Yet, other legalistically put obedience to the commandments on a level equal to or even higher than the cross. I also find that problematic given that none of us perfectly obey the commandments 24/7. In fact, not even Noah or Abraham or any of the prophets or apostles did so according to the bible. Only Jesus Christ did so.
Let each know what God says more than what humans say no matter how well intentioned humans may be! For in the end it is God not humans who will have the final say.
