For me the key push back against Critical Race Theory (CRT) has to do with (1) whether white folks alive today should feel any guilt for what their ancestors may or may not have done and (2) whether CRT should be restricted to being taught above K-12 or be taught at some point in K-12. In my view CRT is useful but should be restricted to being taught above K-12 where students should be mature enough to both understand all sides and properly handle both the positives and negatives. I certainly do not believe any white person alive today should feel any guilt for what dead folks did. <\/p>\n\n\n\n What is Critical Race Theory and Why is it Under Attack?<\/a> – includes Kimberle Crenshaw, who coined the terms Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality. In the video below entitled The Battle Over Critical Race Theory… one of the founders of CRT, Kimberlee Williams Crenshaw had multiple opportunities to outrightly respond to critics of CRT by stating outrightly that she does not believe white folks alive today should feel any guilt for what dead white folks did. She also had multiple opportunities to say outrightly that she does not beliee CRT should be taught in K-12. She did not state either. In fact she all but said outrightly that she believes CRT should be taught in K-12.
