A Young White Girl Honors a Forgotten Black Civil Rights Leader

A young white girl noticed a marker outlining the birth and death of a man. The marker did not indicate his race.

She became curious about why it was there all alone. She did her research and started a movement to honor that man’s legacy. The link below provides more info:

MLK III posted the below image on his Facebook page to honor the memory of William Moore, a white man who fought and died for Black Civil Rights. I decided to add it to this post.

Moore intended to deliver a letter demanding the end of segregation, to Mississippi Gov. Ross Barnett. Click here to read the letter in its entirety.
